Dr. Rob’s Flexibility Builder Stretches

As Stated previously, Dr. Rob’s Flexibility Builder Stretches mobilize the areas that are meant to move. As with most stretches a hold of 20-30 seconds per stretch is important to glean the benefit of the stretch. In the following list there are 3 exceptions to the 20-30 second hold rule. The Cat/Camel, Thoracic Chair Extension Mobilization/Stretch and the Thoracic Rotation Mobilization should be performed with a count of 1,2,3 throughout the movement. For example, while doing the Cat/Camel, think 1,2,3 as you go up and 1,2,3 as you go down. Perform 2-3 reps of 20-30 seconds for the Seated Glute stretches, Psoas stretch, QL/Lat stretch, Hamstring stretch and Standing Quad stretch, and 2-3 sets of 15-20 reps for the Cat/Camel Mobilization stretch, Thoracic Chair Extension Mobilization stretch and Thoracic Rotation stretches.
